There's an opinion that, theatrical trailers are meant to reveal story of movies. However, Liger trailer didn’t disclose the film’s storyline.
The trailer was cut differently and it has received well among all sections.
Both Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda opine that, the trailer’s duty is to bring the audience to theatres and the story will be revealed only in cinemas.
“We didn’t want to follow the regular pattern. We wanted the trailer cut to be very different,” said Puri.
The director, curiously, revealed story of the movie.
“Liger is about the mother (Ramyakrishna as Balamani) and her son (Vijay) who goes all the way to Mumbai from their native place Karimnagar.
The mother has the dream to make her son a national champion and the Liger is about how Vijay Deverakonda overcome every hurdle to make his mother's dream come true.”
Puri Jagannadh has made the movie as a pakka commercial entertainer. The movie will have six fights and seven songs.
