It is a common factor that any actor or actress is identified with his or her region in India. They are called Bollywood actors, Tamil actresses and Kannada stars and so on.
It is also common that the Indian film industry is identified as Bollywood and South Indian in general.
But Priyamani has an objection here. She seems to be not so comfortable being called a South Indian actress.
She said "I don't know why we're named South actors and Bollywood actors. We're all Indian actors".
She has a point here but all that she needs is the national recognition like Jayaprada and Sridevi to be branded as Indian actresses.
In the same talk, she also expressed on a positive note- "I'm quite happy that a lot of actors are being recognized and the talent is being recognized".
Well, let us wish that Priyamani gets more and more opportunities to act in pan national films continuing the popularity she gained with the Family Man series.
