Prashanth Varma's Strategy: What's the Plan?

Prashanth Varma's Strategy: What's the Plan?

Director Prashanth Varma, who achieved pan-India director status with the film "HanuMan," seems to have a full slate of projects lined up. However, there is a lack of clarity on which film he will tackle next.

He initially committed to a film with DVV Danayya's son, but that project shifted to just a supervisory role for Prashanth.

Meanwhile, he signed on for a film with Nandamuri Mokshagna and also locked in the sequel "Jai Hanuman" with Rishabh Shetty.

Amid all this, a "Mahakali" superheroine movie was announced. Adding fuel to the rumors is the buzz of him working with Prabhas, which has taken the industry by storm.

With so many projects, the question arises: which one will he prioritize? All these films are VFX-heavy, and each could take a year and a half to complete. How will Prashanth manage to finish them all?

According to reliable sources, the official announcement for "Jai Hanuman" will be made by the end of this month, with pre-production set to last a year. Shooting is expected to begin mid-next year.

In the meantime, he has to start working on the Mokshagna film, which will feature a significant role for Balakrishna and has links to the Mahabharata's Abhimanyu episode. This too will be VFX-heavy, and whether it will release by 2025 is still uncertain.

Rishabh Shetty's project might see a 2026 or 2027 release. Amid all these commitments, the fate of DVV Danayya's son's movie is unclear. Is Prashanth just supervising it, or will he have time to direct it properly?

The real question is: what is Prashanth Varma’s strategy behind announcing so many films at once? What’s his endgame?
