Pradeep Machiraju has long been a household name in Telugu television, thanks to his successful stint as a host on numerous shows.
He made a notable entry into films with 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela, which achieved modest box office success.
However, despite the promising start, it took him over four years to return with his second film, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi.
Unfortunately, the long gap didn’t work in his favor.
The film failed to make an impact at the box office and also resulted in financial losses — Pradeep was a sleeping partner in the project, having invested his own money. As a result, he suffered a setback both as an actor and as a co-producer.
Following this double blow, there is growing speculation that Pradeep might shift his focus back to television, where he has a proven track record and more reliable earning potential.
If he does choose to continue in films, industry observers suggest that he should be more selective, especially in choosing directors.
Relying solely on TV directors may not be the right strategy for building a sustainable film career.
