For the past few weeks, there have been rumors that the producers of "Pushpa 2: The Rule" are planning to announce a new release date.
The film's production has been paused, as director Sukumar stopped filming to work on the final edit of the first half of the film.
However, Bollywood media outlets recently reported that the producers of "Pushpa 2" have informed Hindi distributors of a new release date, which is now targeted for April 2025.
Meanwhile, the makers of Prabhas' upcoming film "The Raja Saab" have officially confirmed its release date as April 10, 2025.
Directed by Maruthi, "The Raja Saab" is a romantic horror film. The release date was initially set for Sankranthi 2025 but has been postponed to April 10, 2025.
This development means Prabhas has effectively checkmated Allu Arjun. "Pushpa 2: The Rule" will now have to either stick to its original release schedule of December 6, 2024, or choose a date later in April 2025, as it cannot compete directly with Prabhas' film.
