In the wake of a woman exposing the sexual misdeeds of TDP MLA Adimoolam, social media has been abuzz with numerous posts from various sources.
Amidst all the buzz, a tweet from actress Poonam Kaur caught the attention of many.
Poonam Kaur posted on her X handle: "Highly appreciative of the husband who encouraged his partner to expose the ‘POWER RAPIST’ — had he not done that, the MLA from #TDP wouldn’t have been suspended. Many would just say those in power stay silent. Kudos to him and the woman who exposed him — gives hope."
She continued in another post: "This is not the first time I am speaking up. Stop creating a political narrative around what I say. Instead, remove people who have accusations of rape and serious sexual exploitation, which exist across party lines. ‘POWER RAPIST’ is a term I coined for such individuals."
Reacting to this, social media influencer Dr. Pradeep Chinta asked, "POWER RAPIST??? Is it a Rapist in Power or something else?"
To this, Poonam Kaur replied: "I coined the term 'Power Rapist' to highlight men who believe that 'nothing can happen to me because I have power or a power circle that will protect me.'"
