Poorna, a popular actress, gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday, and both mother and baby are doing well. This is Poorna's first child with her husband Shanid Asif Ali, whom she married last year.

She announced the arrival of her baby by posting photos of herself in the hospital holding the baby with her husband.
Originally from Kerala, Poorna married Shanid in a traditional Muslim wedding ceremony. Her husband is a successful businessman based in Dubai, and Poorna gave birth to their son in a hospital there.
Although Poorna was recently seen in the film "Dasara" alongside Nani and Keerthy Suresh, she finished filming for the movie quite some time ago.
