The much-hyped pan-India film Pushpa-2 starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, scheduled for release on Thursday has gained political colour even before the release, setting the social media on fire.
While Jana Sena Party led by power star Pawan Kalyan and the Bharatiya Janata Party are spreading a hate campaign against the Allu Arjun’s movie, YSR Congress Party cadres are owning up Bunny and backing the film.
Jana Sena Party leader Chalamalasetti Ramesh Babu issued a public statement warned that if Allu Arjun doesn’t apologize to the Mega family, Pushpa-2 will be blocked in Andhra Pradesh.
Similarly, Bharatiya Janata Party also criticized the movie with its MLA Rakesh Reddy dismissing the film’s hype as fake and demanded the arrest of Allu Arjun and director Sukumar.
Meanwhile, posters of Pushpa-2 were torn in several locations across AP, creating a sensation.
Even in Pithapuram, represented by Jana Sena leader and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Pushpa-2 posters were torn, sparking controversy. Allu Arjun fans suspect Jana Sena workers are behind it.
On the other hand, YSRCP cadres are supporting the movie. Fans of former CM Jagan expressed full support for Pushpa-2.
A flex in Gooty town, Anantapur district, featured photos of Jagan and Allu Arjun with the caption: "You came for us; we will come for you. There’s no backing down."
