Every director believes working with a big hero will boost their careers. Many think that directing a star like Pawan Kalyan will be a turning point. However, unfortunately, most directors who work with him remain dissatisfied.
Director Sagar Chandra, who made Bheemla Nayak, has yet to take on another film.
Samuthirakani, who directed Bro, has not taken up any new Telugu projects. Meanwhile, the situation of three directors currently working on his films is concerning.
Krish took up Hari Hara Veera Mallu, a grand period film, but struggled to move forward. The script was changed, songs were cut, and he eventually walked out.
OG, directed by Sujeeth, looked promising, but delays have left the project incomplete. The film was supposed to release last year, but its fate remains uncertain, costing Sujeeth valuable time and career.
Harish Shankar, directing Ustaad Bhagat Singh, played it smart by working on another film in the meantime. He is also working on other films as well. Whenever Pawan Kalyan shows interest to work on that Harish will come on to sets.
Given these struggles, will directors still be eager to take on films with Pawan Kalyan? If this continues, it would be a poor decision for any director to consider making a film with him—unless they have a Plan B and C, like Harish Shankar.
