If there is one actress who is working in films belonging to different genres at one go, it has to be Lavanya Tripathi. From a sports drama to a dark comedy and an actioner, she is a part of them all.
'A1 Express' is one of her most special films till date. Casting her as a hockey player, this film pairs her up with Sundeep Kishan.
"Lavanya is so determined to achieve perfection playing this role that she has undergone physically-taxing training in hockey. What makes it all the more back-breaking is that she did it at a time when she had to be in Chennai for another movie during the other part of the day," a source says. This film is helmed by Dennis Jeevan Kanukolanu.
Keeping her in good humour amidst all the demanding work is 'Chaavu Kaburu Challaga', a dark comedy directed by Koushik Pegallapati for Geetha Arts. 'RX 100' actor Kartikeya plays a quirky man in this one and Lavanya's role is yet to be revealed as of now.
"Lavanya is extremely excited about this outing. Her comic timing hit the right notes in 'Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy'. Expect her to be spot-on again," the source comments.
Atharvaa Murali is the hero of her Tamil-language cop film that she accepted recently. Lavanya is thrilled about this project as well since it's not only a promising actioner but also gives her an opportunity to find a special spot in Kollywood.
Directed by newcomer Ravindra Madhava, a Koratala Siva assistant in the past, this film will release later this year.
Lavanya abhors weak scripts. She is now getting one strong film after another. The different genres are keeping her too busy to accept a Bollywood movie, one of which she rejected recently for want of time.
