Thursday marks the death anniversary of late actor-politician MG Ramachandran who is fondly called as MGR and on the occasion, the makers of 'Thalaivi' unveiled the new poster of Arvind Swami as MGR.
A mentor figure to Jayalalitha, MGR floated the political party AIADMK, after quitting the DMK in 1972 and captured power in Tamil Nadu in 1977.
In the poster, Arvind Swami sports a clean shaven look and resembles MGR in clothes, demeanor and appearance.
Clearly, Arvind Swami looks strikingly similar to MGR in Thalaivi new poster.
As is known, Kangana Ranaut plays Jayalalitha in the film directed by Vijay.
Bankrolled by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh, Thalaivi will hit theaters in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
