'Padma Bhushan' Balakrishna: Shows The Pride Of Kanduva

Nandamuri Balakrishna received the Padma Bhushan today, wearing a traditional pattu panche and kanduva, proudly representing Telugu culture.

When his name was announced, he proudly adjusted his kanduva a couple of times in his signature style, displaying his characteristic flair. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah watched him with notable interest. 

His confidence, theatrical background, and expressive body language were evident in his gait and expressions.

He officially received the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

Balakrishna is not just a film actor but also a seasoned politician, having been elected multiple times from his Hindupur constituency. He also runs the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, providing crucial services to the needy.

Dr Duvvuru Nageshwara Reddy of AIG Hospitals and Brahmasri Madugula Nagaphani Sharma are the other Telugu personalities to receive Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri respectively.
