However, this time, a group of top film producers met with the newly elected Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, before seeking an appointment with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
According to insiders, CM Naidu prefers not to get directly involved in Telugu film industry issues at the moment.
He has delegated this responsibility to Pawan Kalyan. Additionally, Kandula Durgesh, a member of Jana Sena, has been appointed to the cinematography ministry.
Naidu has made it clear that Pawan Kalyan will have complete control over the Telugu film industry, marking a significant shift in Naidu's approach.
Previously, Chandrababu Naidu made all decisions independently, as the Kamma community controlled 90 percent of the movie industry. However, the industry has undergone significant changes over the last decade.
While Kammas still dominate, Kapus, Rajus, Velamas, and Telangana Reddys have become key players.
Recognizing this shift, Naidu has entrusted Pawan Kalyan with the responsibility of managing the film industry in Andhra Pradesh.
