Chandrababu Naidu is known for his self-boasting, often going to the extent of claiming credit for building HiTec City (though it was actually developed during Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy’s tenure), the Outer Ring Road (a project taken forward by Y S Rajasekhara Reddy), and even the Shamshabad airport.
He also regularly boasts that all the software engineers working in the USA are there because of his pioneering efforts. On one occasion, he even claimed to be the person who brought computers to India.
However, his son Nara Lokesh doesn’t seem to be following in those footsteps.
He is currently maintaining a balanced tone, speaking only as much as required. Since assuming power, he has come across as dignified and composed.
That balance, however, seems to be missing in Pawan Kalyan. He appears to be following Chandrababu Naidu 2.0 style — frequently making exaggerated claims.
Recently, he stated that he laid about 1,000 km of roads and claimed several achievements without much evidence.
He doesn’t seem to consider how people perceive these claims; he speaks in his own style and disappears, without taking any feedback.
He has also stated that he wants to see Chandrababu as Chief Minister for the next 10–15 years. If that’s the case, why did he start his own party?
And how can he keep his party workers motivated if he never aims for the CM’s chair himself?
