Megastar Chiranjeevi has earned the reputation of being a big brother in Telugu film industry over a period of time.
His words have a lot of weight in the industry and every film personality treats him with utmost respect.
Even when he entered politics by floating Praja Rajyam Party and later merged it with the Congress later, Chiranjeevi continued to command a lot of respect inside and outside the film industry. The rival political parties, too, never uttered any word against him.
After relinquishing politics and returning to film industry, Chiranjeevi has never given up doing service to public in one way or other.
For the last few years, he has been carefully building up his public image by taking up various social service activities – like mobilising funds for the poor people affected during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Within the film industry, too, the megastar has always been in the forefront to help the co-stars who are in need of financial support or moral support.
The other day, when actor Uttej lost his wife, Chiranjeevi went to his residence and consoled the family members, besides extending help to them.
Unfortunately, all the good work being done by Chiranjeevi has been nullified by his younger brother Pawan Kalyan’s immature and ignorant behaviour.
His comments at a film function the other day against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government and the latter’s decision to take over online cinema ticketing system, has done a lot of damage to the megastar’s image.
The comments came at a time when Chiranjeevi was trying his best to convince the Andhra Pradesh government on the increase of cinema ticket prices to rescue the film industry. Now, he is forced to cut a sorry figure before Jagan.
Sources said Chiranjeevi was so much upset with his brother’s controversial comments on the Jagan government that he had cut short his shooting schedule and returned to Hyderabad. He is now thinking of how to control the damage.
Interestingly, none of the family members of Chiranjeevi, who are into the film field, had come in support of Pawan Kalyan. Though Naga Babu extended support to Pawan Kalyan indirectly through twitter, it was on the latter’s tussle with Perni Nani and Posani.
It clearly shows how much embarrassment Pawan Kalyan has caused to the mega family with his irresponsible comments!
