It has been a long time since Jana Sena Party president and power star Pawan Kalyan has made public appearances and giving speeches in public.
There have hardly been any instances of Pawan going into people to understand their problems in the last one and a half years.
On Monday, the power star was back on streets of Gudivada and drew huge crowds – mobilised or voluntary.
And on seeing the crowds, Pawan became jubilant and delivered his typical filmy dialogues in full flow, attacking the Jagan Mohan Reddy government and the ruling YSR Congress party leaders.
He particularly targeted local MLA and minister for civil supplies Kodali Venkateshwara Rao alias Nani.
“There seems to be too many Nanis in YSRC. Gudivada, too, is said to have one such Nani. I don’t care. Let him stop blowing trumpet for his boss, it is better he concentrates on the farmers’ welfare,” Pawan said.
“Mr Nani, go and tell your CM saab that Vakil Saab is asking when he is giving Rs 35,000 per acre to the farmers for the crop loss incurred due to cyclone,” Pawan said.
He defended acting in films, while continuing in politics.
“When you can run gambling clubs, cement industries, mining businesses and media houses while being in politics, why can’t I act in films while continuing in politics?” he asked.
The power star said he would give tit for tat, if anybody attacks Jana Sena.
“If you hold us by collar, we too hold your collar. We are in a position to bear your atrocities anymore,” he warned.
