Telugu cinema on OTT is showing its might now and then. One such film with an engaging screenplay and nail biting narration in Senapathi.
Rajendra Prasad playing a serious character is a new experience to watch all together. Though the sentiment didn't work as expected, the film promises an engaging experience.
This is about Cop Krishna (Naresh Agastya), whose childhood runs in a Boston school. He loses his licensed revolver in an operation and his struggle to get it back forms the rest of the story.
On the other hand Murthy (Rajendra Prasad) along with two young guys (Rakendu Mouli and Josh Ravi) commits a bank robbery with masked faces.
The link between Krishna and Murthy happens to be the total crux of the story with several twists and turns.
The backstory of Murthy may connect to the middle class audience though not to the degree of empathizing with him.
Rajendra Prasad's performance is something new as said above. Naresh Agastya as protagonist is a perfect fit. Rakendu Mouli excelled as both dialogue writer and actor. Josh Ravi has given his best in a role that has scope to perform. Harshavardhan gives good relief with his impeccable performance.
Director Pavan Sadineni and music director Shravan Bharadwaj deserve commendations. Sushmitha Konidela brought out something interesting from her production.
The bottomline is that the film engages better than many of the recent Telugu OTT releases.
