While biggie “Pushpa The Rise” opted for early streaming, there are other Telugu films that have given enough gap between theatrical release and OTT debut.
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Akhanda” is one such. In fact, Balakrishna’s movie waited for more than seven weeks to debut on the OTT platform.
‘Akhanda’ will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar from 21st Jan 2022.
Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film has also completed 50 days run. It is the only big starrer in recent times that waited for 50 days to debut on a streaming platform. Balakrishna is creating a trend here.
Nani’s “Shyam Singha Roy” is another weekend attraction on the OTT platforms this weekend. The film will be streaming on Netflix tomorrow (Jan 21).
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film was a decent average grosser. Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty played female leads.
The film was released on December 24, 2021. It is streaming 30 days after its theatrical release.
