The year 2020 happened to be the year of "Ramulo Ramula" from 'Ala Vaikunthapuramulo', the tune of which was directly taken from a folk song.
The lyrics were tweaked and presented as a fresh song. As that was shot on Allu Arjun, the most popular star, it has become an out and out hit.
Now again, similar thing seems to have repeated today.
'Saranga Dariya...' song from Sekhar Kammula's "Love Story" is released today. This is also an age old Telangana folk song written by an anonymous writer (so far).
The tune was also the same and it was already popular on youtube with Rela Re's popular singer Komala.
The same song was also used in a Telugu feature film titled "Anaganaga oka chitram" in the year 2015, which couldn’t garner any views.
Now Suddala Ashok Teja has become the half lyricist for this 'Saranga Dariya...' version of "Love Story". He has taken the opening lines (as it is) from the original and wrote the remaining part.
Earlier he has done the same feat and won the National Award with "Nenu Saitham.." song of Chiranjeevi's ‘Tagore’. The opening stanza "Nenu Saitham.." was taken directly from a famous poem of the legendary poet Sri Sri from his anthology- "Mahaprasthanam".
There is a saying in Telugu- 'Sankhamlo posthene teertham'. That way this song “Saranga Dariya” is introduced to the entire Telugu population across the world with Sai Pallavi's presence.
I am sure this song will surely cross 300 Million views and beyond in long run and may set a new record. If the personal sentiment of Suddala Ashok Teja gets repeated, he may win another award.
