Opinion: Big Opportunity For AP Govt On Tickets Issue

Opinion: Big Opportunity For AP Govt On Tickets Issue

This is the right time for the Andhra Pradesh government to prove its integrity and correct its image.

Though Minister Perni Nani condemned with his logic, there have been many suspicions and conclusions that the government is hell bent on the film industry with regard to the ticket prices and also in the matter of lifting away the 50% occupancy restriction in theatres by keeping the release of Bheemla Nayak in point of view.

The final meeting with the Tollywood heads is going to be concluded today and the GO on the new ticket prices has to be released within a  few days.

If the GO is given in favor of the film industry before February 25th the image of the government will not be in trouble. Because Pawan Kalyan's 'Bheemla Nayak' has announced its release on that date.

If the government procrastinates to release the GO and drags beyond Feb 25th, this clearly gives a hint that there is an intention to trouble the collections of Bheemla Nayak in AP. It is not only the matter of GO; the 100% occupancy in all the theatres should be allowed before 25th.

Whoever is behind these decisions on behalf of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's government should  think with open mind. Not a single vote is going to be fetched by troubling Pawan Kalyan's film at this juncture.

This is a clarion call for entire government system that is involved in this issue. Wake up! Wake up! Don't miss this opportunity of image correction.
