The pre-release event of Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine happened today in Hyderabad in the presence of the entire team, several guests, and more importantly megastar Chiranjeevi attended it as a chief guest.
Naga Babu who also graced the occasion stated that he feels proud of his Varun Tej for choosing different scripts, without bothering about results. He also announced a donation of 6 lakhs towards the Veer Nari scheme.
Director Shakti Pratap Singh Hada said that he saw Chiranjeevi and Naga Babu in Varun Tej while shooting for the movie. He acknowledged that Varun Tej is one of the finest actors in the industry. “This film is full of emotions, drama, action, and adventure.”
Varun Tej affirmed that megastar Chiranjeevi is the biggest inspiration for him in the industry. “Director Shakti approached me with a new story to show the indomitable spirits of our Air Force heroes. Hari’s camera work is outstanding.
I’m doing a pakka commercial movie after this one. But I feel proud to do a film on soldiers who stay away from their families and fight for us at the border. Operation Valentine is a small chapter to designate their sacrifices. Within the given budget we made the movie putting our blood, sweat, and tears in it. Every Indian should watch the movie which is like saluting our soldiers.”
Chiranjeevi revealed that it was Varun Tej who asked him to grace the event. “I was surprised when I heard the title Operation Valentine and enquired whether they added romance or other commercial elements to make this patriotic film on the Pulwama Attack and Balakot airstrike incidents. Varun told me that the incident happened on Feb 14th, so they named the movie Operation Valentine. Varun spoke highly about director Shakti and his passion for filmmaking. He even surprised Air Force officials with his short film.
I came to know that the movie came out well. These kinds of movies need to perform well. Youth should watch such films. Shakti, I feel gave a strong message to Telugu cinema. He made the movie in 75 days on a reasonable budget. He became a super success, even before the release.
I opine that Varun Tej got to play wide variety of roles than any other actor in my family. Starting from Mukunda, he has been attempting different characters and subjects. His character and get-up as Gaddalakonda Ganesh are my favorite to date. This, I think, is the first movie on airstrikes in Telugu. This is going to give a visual feast. I watched the Hollywood movie Top Gun: Maverick recently and Operation Valentine is on par with it. I wish to watch the movie in advance.”
