The release date of Tamannaah Bhatia’s supernatural thriller Odela 2 was announced today. The movie directed by Ashok Teja and produced by D Madhu will be out in theatres on April 17th.
Sampath Nandi who is backing the project as one of the producers and creator stated, “This film holds a special place in my heart.; Odela is not just a story to me, it's an emotion, a connection to my roots. Born and raised there, Odela feels like home, like a mother. If the village is the mother, then Odela Mallanna, the god in the village, is the father.
Odela 2 starts where Odela ended. While the first part was based on real incidents, the second part is completely fictional. When the villagers face biggest problem, Odela Mallanna, through the powers of Naga Shakti, Shiva Shakti, and Naga Sadhu Bhairavi protects them.”
Tamannaah, who played Naga Sadhu in the film, also shared her thoughts, saying, “I’ve always felt like I’m part of the Telugu film family, and Sampath has been an incredible guide in my journey. This is our fourth film together, and with each one, we’ve grown together. I’m also grateful to be part of this project, and I feel so connected to it. When I heard about the sequel, I knew I had to be part of it.”
Tamannaah also revealed that she gave up non-veg for the character she did in the movie.
