No question of returning to politics, posts: Chiranjeevi

Megastar Chiranjeevi on Tuesday night put to rest all the speculations over his possible return to politics, in the wake of his recent interactions with Bharatiya Janata Party bosses in Delhi, particularly his increasing proximity with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at the pre-release event of Brahma Anandam in Hyderabad, Chiranjeevi addressed the speculation about his political comeback.

He firmly denied any plans of re-entering politics and assured his fans that he would remain devoted to cinema.

"Some people might be wondering why I am meeting big and prominent leaders? Is he planning to go back into politics?' I urge everyone not to have such doubts," he said.

The megastar clarified that he was committed to serving the world of cinema for the rest of his life. He stated that he meets political leaders solely for matters related to the film industry and nothing beyond that.

“There is no political agenda behind it,” he said.

When it comes to advancing political goals and public service, Chiranjeevi said his younger brother Pawan Kalyan (Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister) is already there. His statement evoked loud cheers from the crowds.

“As for me, I will stay away from politics for the rest of my life, remain closely connected to cinema, and continue cherishing the love of my fans while dedicating myself to the art," the megastar asserted.
