No Movie Theatres Till September

The nationwide lockdown has been extended until May 3, but it might get extended further, opine analysts.

Even if the lockdown is lifted, there will be restrictions on religious places, educational institutions and the entertainment industry. There cannot be group gatherings and many people working at the same place at least for a couple of months.

Telugu Cinema insiders believe that the film industry will remain shutdown until July.

Shootings of the movies that are in the finishing stage may be permitted to go to shoot with a limited crew.

Big budget films usually need a big crew working all the time, which cannot be possible until our nation completely overcomes coronavirus scare.

There is a big question mark hanging over the theatrical business at the moment. Cinema theaters can be super spreaders due to a large gathering in a closed space.

Hence, cinema theaters and malls will be permitted to operate only after there are no positive cases reported for a period of time.

Analysts believe that movie theaters will start running from late August or September.

Things are certainly looking gloomy for Cinema industry that has lost already lost hundreds of crores due to this pandemic.
