Nithin has scored a decent hit with “Bheeshma” which hit the screens last month. The film put an end to the spate of flops and gave a breather to his career.
However, the romantic comedy did underperform when we take the amount of word-of-mouth it had generated into consideration. The first week's collections were huge for a Nithin starrer.
The producers had expected that it would touch Rs 40 crore mark but it is now ending as a just hit. The examination period was the reason.
Had this film hit the screens in better season, it would definitely have collected Rs 40 crore. He is now taking extra care in the release of his next film titled “Rang De”.
“Rang De” that stars Keerthy Suresh and produced by the same banner Sithara Creations that produced “Bheeshma” is aiming for a late summer release.
However, Nithin doesn’t want to rush the movie’s release now. He is asking the producer to take everything into consideration before announcing the date.
“Rang De” is being directed by Venky Atluri of “Tholi Prema”. PC Sreeram is cranking the camera.
