Nikhil's last outing SPY which marked the directorial debut of popular editor Garry BH dealt with the best-kept secret in India.
The movie was about Subhash Chandrabose who gave the slogan- Tum Mujhe Khoon Do, Main Tumhe Azadi Doonga (You give me blood I will give you freedom).
The movie was released in theatres last month with good expectations and it even raked in good openings.
Well, SPY has got a superb response on OTT. The national thriller was released on Amazon Prime this week and it is trending top on the streaming platform with record views.
It indeed is one of the highest-viewed movies this year across OTT platforms. Perhaps those who missed to watch the movie are showing interest to watch it on the streaming space.
Moreover, Nikhil got nationwide recognition with his last movie Karthikeya 2. Thus, SPY got millions of views in other languages as well, including Hindi.
Iswarya Menon played the leading lady in the movie that also starred Rana Daggubati in a cameo.
The film was produced by K Raja Shekhar Reddy, while Sricharan Pakala scored the music.
