Actor Raveena Tandon revealed in an interview with ANI that she was labeled as arrogant for declining to wear swimwear or perform kissing scenes in films.
She said that she was only comfortable with certain aspects of acting and would not perform dance steps or scenes that made her uncomfortable, such as wearing swimwear or doing kissing scenes.
Raveena added that she was the only actress who did not tear her clothes in rape scenes and that this led to her being called arrogant.
She spoke about working in films during the 90s on her own terms and conditions and declining roles if they required her to perform actions that made her uncomfortable.
Raveena was recently honored with the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian award. She received praise for her role in the blockbuster film "KGF- Chapter 2."
In the coming months, she will be appearing in the romantic-comedy "Ghudchadi" and the production "Patna Shukla."
