Netizens Give a Thumbs Down to 'Devara' Trailer

The trailer for Devara: Part 1 was released today, generating mixed reactions from the much-awaited audience. While some praised NTR for his new style, others criticized that there was nothing innovative in the trailer.

Here are some random comments from netizens:

"It feels like Paadaghattam and Siddhavanam but with a sea backdrop instead of a forest. I’m worried it might be another Acharya".

"I’m excited to see the combination of NTR with Saif Ali Khan. I’ve watched the trailer 10 times already and loved it".

"This is going to be another Tiger Nageshwara Rao, for sure."

"My hunger is satisfied. This film will be a blockbuster. I loved every frame."

"This trailer seems to have been cut for Bollywood audiences, but not to the taste of Tollywood fans."

"For any film, the trailer is crucial. This one is weak. It will be dangerous for the film if no better trailer is released. Even for Adipurush, the makers released a second trailer after the backlash from the first one. Let's hope Koratala does the same."

"This trailer is really good. I feel like watching it multiple times for NTR's elevations."

Apart from social media comments, here are some thoughts from industry insiders:

"Director Koratala Siva should have paid more attention to the trailer's editing. It feels like the same thing was repeated over and over again," said an exhibitor.

"If you look at Yash in KGF and Prabhas in Salaar, they seem physically fit for such roles. However, the cinematography by Ratnavelu doesn't do justice to NTR's appearance in Devara. NTR looked impressive in RRR, but here he appears short, especially in the lungi outfit," commented a director.

"The trailer lacks a strong background score. While it might be there in the movie, it's missing at the moment," remarked a producer.

"The trailer fails to convey if there's anything new in the story. It feels like the same old villainy and routine scenes," noted an up-and-coming writer.

"Koratala seems to have interpreted Pan-India filmmaking as Prashant Neel's style. This looks like Salaar, with a black tinge and similar character sketches," said a producer.

On the whole, industry professionals seem mostly disappointed with the trailer, though the general public's reactions remain mixed.

Nevertheless, it is clear that Koratala should consider releasing a second trailer before the movie's release to reignite audience interest and drive them to theaters. Banking on this trailer may be risky.
