Tollywood actor and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA from Hindupur, Nandamuri Balakrishna, placed a winning bid of ₹7.75 lakh to secure the premium car registration number ‘TG 09 F0001’ during an online auction conducted by the Telangana Regional Transport Authority (RTA) at its Khairatabad office on Saturday.
The Telangana Transport Department raised a total of ₹37.15 lakh in a single day by auctioning off several sought-after fancy numbers. The bidding saw intense competition for a series of unique vehicle registration numbers.
According to a statement from Khairatabad Joint Transport Commissioner Ch Ramesh, other notable bids included TG 09 F0009, acquired by M/s Kamalalaya Hiisoft Pvt Ltd for ₹6.70 lakh; TG 09 F9999, bought by M/s Ecko Design Studio for ₹99,999; TG 09 F0005, secured by M/s Jetti Infra Projects Pvt Ltd for ₹1.49 lakh; TG 09 F0007, purchased by Srinivas Naidu K for ₹1.37 lakh; TG 09 F0019, claimed by Nethravathi Balagappa Shivalingappa for ₹60,000; and TG 09 F0099, acquired by Concap Electrical Pvt Ltd for ₹4.75 lakh.
The RTA continues to attract high-value bids for fancy vehicle numbers, often purchased for luxury vehicles and VIP usage.
