Nani Urges Media to Drop 'Tier' Labels

Actor Nani has criticized the practice of categorizing Telugu film actors into “tiers,” a system often used by certain websites, social media handles, and trade analysts.

He stated that such labeling is disrespectful to the hard work and talent of all actors in the industry.

It is a common trend among media outlets to refer to top stars like Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, NTR, Prabhas, and Pawan Kalyan as “Tier 1” actors, while placing others like Nani, Vijay Deverakonda, Sai Dharam Tej, Naga Chaitanya, Nikhil Siddhartha, and Nithiin in the “Tier 2” category.

Addressing the issue, Nani said, “This whole classification is a stupid idea. There should be no divisions among stars. If you like a star, you’ll watch their film — regardless of their so-called tier or range.”

He urged both the media and the audience to move beyond these narrow categorizations and appreciate actors for their craft rather than their perceived status.
