Nani Shifts Dasara Director's Film to 2025

Nani Shifts Dasara Director's Film to 2025

Nani got mixed results from Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Although Nani claimed the story and narration were different and the action episodes would be completely novel, critics and audiences felt his claims were completely false.

The story is formulaic, with only some parts of the narration being gripping and unique. Director Vivek Athreya fell back on a conventional style in the second half.

Despite this, the film managed to become the highest-grossing movie of Nani’s career in the North American market. Saripodhaa Sanivaaram surpassed the lifetime gross of Dasara and emerged as a big hit, currently standing at $2.05 million.

However, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram posted pretty average numbers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film has also been affected by the rains and floods. With a forecast of more rain in the coming days, the film's progress will likely be limited.

Given the mixed results, Nani is now embarking on a film in the super hit series Hit. He will be portraying a police officer in the "Hit" franchise and will be the hero of Hit 3, which will start production shortly.

Nani has postponed his other film—a second collaboration with Srikanth Odela, the director of Dasara—to 2025.
