Akkineni family usually enjoyed the patronage of loyal fans on par with that of Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and Venkatesh. But in due course of time, the fanbase is reduced for unknown reasons.
The fanbase is generally assessed with the openings to the films. Every hero has a certain fan base but Nagarjuna's fans seem to have almost disappeared.
Chiranjeevi's Godfather and Nagarjuna's Ghost are releasing in a few hours. Praveen Sattaru directed Nag's film while Chiranjeevi's film was directed by Mohan Raja.
Both are not star directors but Praveen has some identity. While Chiranjeevi's film is showing the signs of good openings Nagarjuna's film is dull in many centers.
Nagarjuna promoted both of his previous films Wild Dog and Manmadhudu 2 vigorously but they failed miserably. Then he focused on Bangarraju which could meet the expectation. But now 'Ghost' seems to be suffering a lot.
Some say that Nagarjuna couldn't promote the film much as he was busy with Bigg Boss.
Whatever it is, the audience are ignoring Nag whenever he is acting in the films like Wild Dog, Officer and Manmadhudu 2. But still he is running behind action and romance.
He can try only the family entertainers with humor like that of Bangarraju. This situation arises when the fans disappear. So Nag should change his route to keep up his image.
