Written and directed by Chidambaram, The Malayalam industry hit Manjemmel Boys is coming in Telugu with the same title with Mythri Movie Makers releasing it here.
The director says that he and his team never expected the movie to gross over Rs 200 Cr. “We had that belief in the content and had the confidence of it to become a big hit. We didn’t make the movie for collections.”
Chidambaram reveals that he came to know about the Guna cave incident of friends from Kerala, after the release of his first movie Jan.E.Man. “The story and their friendship excited me. I started working on it since then.”
The director says his favourite star Kamal Haasan called on the entire team to appreciate them. He also expressed his wish to make a film with Kamal Haasan.
Chidambaram affirms the Pan India production house Mythri Movie Makers is very much popular in Malayalam as well. “They made the Pan India blockbuster Pushpa.
I spoke with Mythri Ravi Garu. I’m happy and at the same time proud that Mythri Movie Makers is releasing the movie in Telugu. We got the best support.”
He expressed his wish to work with Telugu big stars. The movie Manjummel Boys will be released in Telugu on April 6th.
