Ravi Teja starrer "Mr. Bachchan" lost its momentum against the other releases on August 15.
While the small film "Aay" collected Rs 55 lakh Nett on its 6th day, "Double iSmart" collected Rs 50 lakh Nett, "Thangalaan" made Rs 45 lakh Nett (only Telugu), and "Mr. Bachchan" stopped at Rs 40 lakh Nett.
The total collection of "Thangalaan" so far is Rs 52 crore gross in both Tamil and Telugu, while "Double iSmart" has made Rs 17.7 crore. "Mr. Bachchan" is struggling with around Rs 12.6 crore, while "Aay" has earned Rs 8.1 crore.
Given the budgets incurred on "Mr. Bachchan" and "Double iSmart," the collections are shockingly poor.
This raises questions about whether star heroes and their remunerations are justified when their opening day collections are also unsatisfactory.
In fact, the opening day collections of Ravi Teja's "Mr. Bachchan" and Ram's "Double iSmart" were not satisfactory.
