Vijay Sethupathi's prestigious 50th movie Maharaja written and directed by Nithilan Saminathan is getting ready for release simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
Today, the makers came up with a release date. The protagonist is introduced as a barber who is in search of his Lakshmi. He comes to the police station to file a missing case.
Police take him lightly initially. But they suspect something suspicious about him and they start following him.
There is a criminal in the town who seems to have robbed something valuable from the house of the protagonist who is now seeking revenge. Overall, Maharaja is a blood-soaked action with emotional elements incorporated into it.
Vijay Sethupathi looked intense in salt and pepper get-up and came up with a power-packed performance. Anurag Kashyap is brilliant as the antagonist.
The film produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy also stars Mamta Mohandas, Abhirami, and Natty Natraj in pivotal roles.
Maharaja has cinematography by Dinesh Purushothaman, music by B Ajaneesh Loknath, and editing by Philomin Raj.
NVR Cinema will be releasing the movie in Telugu states. The movie is due for release on the 14th of this month.
