Director Sriram Venu disclosed that initially they considered ‘Maguva’ as the title for ‘PINK’ Telugu remake but taking Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s image and stardom into thought, ‘Vakeel Saab’ was finalised.
An exclusive musical journey of ‘Vakeel Saab’ has director Sriram Venu joined by music composer SS Thaman and lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry.
Speaking Sriram Venu said, “Not just me, anyone who gets to direct such a film starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role is lucky. When Pawan heard the song ‘Maguva Maguva’ his first reaction was fantastic and insisted that this song should be in the film.”
Music composer Thaman revealed post lockdown, he arrived to the city on November 19th last year and watched the entire film.
“After watching the rough cut of ‘Vakeel Saab,’ it gave me a high. So I decided to scrap a song that I had composed earlier and then tuned another one which is ‘Kanti Papa.’ As a great fan of Pawan, I scored music for this film,” said Thaman.
Lyricist Sastry said, he did not take much effort to pen the lyrics of ‘Maguva Maguva’ song.
“When director Venu pitched this idea, I asked him why he wanted this song and he explained me the whole scenario. One fine morning me and Thaman sat down at Prasad Labs and lyrics fell in place,” added Ramajogayya Sastry.
‘Vakeel Saab’ is hitting the box office on April 9th.
