Two of the greatest exponents of Indian music, Ilaiyaraaja and M.M. Keeravani have collaborated for a film titled Shashtipurthi.
The film stars Rupeysh and Akanksha Singh in lead roles, supported by the legendary duo of Rajendra Prasad and Archana, who famously starred in the classic Ladies Tailor.
The topic of discussion now is that maestro Ilaiyaraaja who rarely attends public events came to Hyderabad to launch the teaser of this film now.
After many years, Ilayaraja stepped out for a film promotional campaign, and it happened for Shashtipurthi teaser now. This is a special occasion for everyone involved as Oscar winning MM Keeravani who had penned lyrics for the Edo Ededo song in this album accompanied Ilaiyaraaja at the teaser launch event today.
Speaking at the event, Ilaiyaraaja said he still doesn’t know how he is able to create music and added that he will stop composing music the very day he figures out how it is all happening. Keeravani said it is an absolute blessing to write lyrics for a song composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
Coming to the teaser, it promises an emotionally touching tail of parenthood and human emotions. The music composed by Ilaiyaraaja is expectedly superb.
Ilaiyaraaja stated that he came to Hyderabad for this event to promote young talent as he wants to stand by the young team that worked for this film.
Directed by Pavan Prabha and produced under the MAA AAI Productions banner, the film, produced by Rupesh Chowdary is now in post-production. The release date is expected to be announced shortly.
