Ever since Rajasekhar and other members have openly revolted against actor VK Naresh, the president of MAA, senior stars like Chiranjeevi and Krishnnam Raju and others swung into action to settle the controversy.
The bone of contention was that VK Naresh has been acting unilaterally and is showing scant regard to the executive members of the body.
The main demand of the executive members is to sack Naresh from the post of president but this would lead to legal problems. Hence, Chiranjeevi and others have asked him to on a leave. This is a strange solution.
But for the first time, an acting president of Movie Artistes’ Association has gone for leave for 41 days and the disciplinary committee has now entrusted the job of the acting president to actor Banerjee.
Naresh said he is on leave as he is hectic schedules ahead.
Our sources say, instead of sacking him, the senior members have asked him to step away from the responsibilities of the president.
