What we see is not the whole thing. There will be many hidden agendas behind any political show.
The MAA Association elections has become the talk of the tinsel town. In fact, it is a small body with some 900 plus members. But since it is something to deal with film stars, the public attention and the media focus are inevitable.
It is something considered as the cultural aspect of Telugu film lovers than as an inside matter of some film actors.
Coming to the point, now the MAA politics is all about Konidela Vs Nandamuri.
The big man in the film industry now is Mega Star Chiranjeevi and there is no dispute about that. He has become the power center by the virtue of his personal charisma, success and by holding a good number of heroes in his camp. No director or actor can flourish by messing up with mega-camp at present. Though it may not be completely true, at least this is the feeling among almost all the actors and technicians in Telugu Film Industry.
But on the other hand, a group in the industry is not happy with this power shift. They still wish to make the image of senior NTR as the symbol of MAA.
Now the agenda is to construct an exclusive building for MAA. This has been an agenda for a long time. It is not a big deal if the biggies in the industry decide. There are about 20 heroes who bag more than Rs 10 Cr as remuneration.
Naresh's group is seriously thinking of naming the new building of MAA against NTR. The Nandamuri family is the hidden force behind this panel. They don't surface the issue but are propeling from behind.
Prakash Raj is in the front end of Mega Camp and he wishes to name the building against Chiranjeevi. Mega Camp is ready to shell out as much money as possible to buy the land at subsidised price from the government and construct the building. Prakash Raj has good connections with KCR and KTR. So, he is being used to lead the show by the mega camp and hence he is planted as the contestant for the MAA Presidential seat.
Mega camp has got the feelers that Manchu Vishnu is promoted by sitting President Naresh and already started the process of gathering support in the industry to go for a unanimous election. So, to foil that, the mega camp silently pushed Prakash Raj to announce the panel and make some noise. So, after all this, there won't be any unanimous election. Considering it as a prestige issue, the Manchu Vishnu's panel has to fight with Prakash Raj's panel.
Now the MAA elections will be held between the Konidela loyalists and Nandamuri supporters. We have to see if the votes also get split based on the issue of naming the building.
