The annual general body meeting of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) was virtually held on Sunday.
On the agenda, there were many issues, but the main point that came for discussion was conducting the polls.
The incumbent president VK Naresh has finally agreed to hold polls. While some members demanded the polls next month, others were in favor of the October elections.
Senior members and actors Murali Mohan and Krishnam Raju had finally announced that they would decide the date for polls in a week.
Selecting a big venue is the main concern. In the pandemic situation, MAA has decided to not conduct the polls in the premises of the Film Chamber.
“We will seek permission from the government authorities for holding the polls following the COVID-19 protocols,” Murali Mohan told the media. The elections are likely to be held in October.
