Lockdown Review: An Assault On The Senses!

Lockdown Review: An Assault On The Senses!

The sight of Manoj Bajpayee in a newly released Netflix movie will thrill the cinephiles that are desperate for entertainment during this lockdown.

Mrs. Serial Killer wouldn’t take much time for you to pay attention and look for its director’s name because the thrill of seeing Manoj vanishes away in no time.

A movie cannot be so horrendous that you want to stop it right away unless it is directed by Shirish Kunder.

The director who made Akshay Kumar’s Joker is the director and we can sense it from the opening scene itself.

Jacqueline Fernandez looks as if she is contesting for the best actress award in ‘overacting’ category. The plot itself seems like a joke.

A gynaecologist (Manoj) is accused of killing several pregnant women and is arrested. In an attempt to prove his innocence, his wife (Jacqueline) sets out to commit a copycat crime.

She shortlists a woman who is her student, also her neighbor and a Taekwondo tutor!  A lot of time is spent on Jacqueline’s preparation for the kidnap.

These scenes are unintentionally funny as the director is totally clueless about what he wrote and poor Jacqueline has to go through all the pain of mouthing those silly lines and enacting such stupid scenes.

After few minutes into the movie, we stop expecting anything and simply let the director assault on the senses.

The movie’s last act is even funnier and the director believed that he has given a twist that is equivalent to that of ‘The Sixth Sense’ climax twist. There’s a scene where he claims that it is indeed a mind blowing twist.

The movie is so bad that even Manoj Bajpayee looks like an amateur actor. Netflix would be recommending this film to you for the next few days if not weeks.

Take our advice and save yourself from going through the torture of watching this terrible thriller.
