Legendary Director Muthyala Subbaiah’s Comeback

Legendary Director Muthyala Subbaiah’s Comeback

People who were part of the 1980s and 1990s will be familiar with the name Muthyala Subbaiah as he created ripples in the film industry through his film making.

A director with a success ratio of close to 70% is hard to find and more so in present times but Muthyala Subbaiah was able to achieve that with stories that involved mostly middle class families and the emotional ups and downs that they face in their lives.

He has worked with most of the top heroes and heroines like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Rajasekhar, Mohanbabu, Jayasudha, Vijayshanthi, Soundarya…etc.

Muthyala Subbaiah is presenting the movie on the banner ‘Muthyala Movie Makers’ and his son Muthyala Anantha Kishore is producing it.

Speaking to the press, he said ‘I have been away from direction almost for a decade and a half and whenever i meet people they would come up to me and ask when i would direct again.

Some of them would tell me that in the fast paced and mechanical life that we have today, we need movies which would speak more about human bonding and emotions. When we heard this story, i told my son that maybe this is something people would relate and that we should think about producing this movie and he readily agreed.

We have given the title ‘Thalli Manasu’ to the movie and the movie will be high on human connectivity and emotions as all my previous movies were. The movie is being directed by Sreenivas (Sippy) who was my Co Director  in many of my movies. I hope all of you bless us in this first venture in the same way that you blessed me over the years’.

Here's wishing Muthyala Movie Makers and the veteran Muthyala Subbaiah whose filmography boasts of blockbusters such as Pavithra Bandham, Pelli Chesukundaam, Hitler, Annayya, Gokulamlo Sita, Anna, Nava Bharatham, Palanati Pourusham, Mamagaru…etc good luck with their first production and hope he can continue to entertain us through his films.
