Vishwaksen, known for experimenting with diverse roles, will be seen in a completely new avatar in his upcoming film, where he plays a female character named Laila.
In an exclusive interview, the actor shared insights about the film, revealing that Laila is not just a simple story as suggested by the promos, and that there's much more to it.
"More than the story, what the audience will enjoy is the drive. There are two significant layers that were not revealed in the promos. The film has several key characters that play crucial roles in the narrative," Vishwaksen explained.
On the significance of the tattoo Sita, the actor mentioned, "The character of Sonu’s mother in the film is named Sita. The motherly emotion plays a pivotal role, and Kamakshi’s character is also very important."
Speaking about the characters of Sonu and Laila, Vishwaksen elaborated, “Sonu’s character dominates the first half of the movie, while Laila’s character makes an appearance just before the interval. From then on, the second half of the movie is all about Laila. Apart from the Rathamma song and a few other moments, Laila will be the focus in the latter half.”
He admitted that acting in a female get-up, especially in front of hundreds of people, was quite challenging.
"There’s a mental challenge involved in performing in front of a crowd while dressed as a female character," Vishwaksen shared.
Clarifying any misconceptions about the film's genre, Vishwaksen emphasized that the movie, produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, is not a typical boothu film but rather a youthful entertainer.
The film is scheduled for release on February 14th, as Valentine's Day special.
