Two decades ago, Laila ruled the South Indian film industry. She played the female lead in many Telugu films including “Egire Pavurama”. In the Tamil film industry, she rose to the top after the success of “Shivaputrudu”.
After getting married to a businessman, Laila quit acting. She stayed away from arc lights for many years. Laila, however, returned to films and played an important role in Karthi’s “Sardar”.
To promote the film, she came to Hyderabad. Speaking to the media, Laila said she is looking for offers in Tollywood. She is ready to play mother and sister roles.
Laila has two sons with her husband.
