Kasinathuni Jayalakshmi, aged 88, passed away today in Hyderabad around 6:30pm.
Her husband, the legendary Tollywood director K. Vishwanath, passed away on February 2nd, 2023 at the age of 92 due to age-related ailments. Now, within a month, his wife Jayalakshmi has also passed away at her home in Hyderabad.
Jayalakshmi was born in the Kurnool district and her father was a station master.
She is survived by her three children, Ravindranath Viswanath, Nagendranath Viswananth, and a daughter named Padmavathi Viswanath, as well as six grandchildren.
Telugu actors Chandra Mohan and the late singer SP Balasubramanyam are said to be relatives of the family.
Jayalakshmi's late husband, K. Vishwanath, was a highly acclaimed filmmaker and received numerous awards for his work, including the Dada Saheb Phalke Award in 2017, the Padmasri in 1992, and several Filmfare and National Film Awards for his movies.
