Dookudu will have a special place for superstar Mahesh Babu. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, the film broke many box office records.
On the occasion of the film completing 10 years, Sreenu Vaitla says Dookudu will always remain to be a special gift.
The director informs there were positive vibes from the very beginning and he had zero tensions during the time.
“We felt memorable moments on every day from the day we started the shooting to its release to the movie completing one and half years. Dookudu won many awards in Nandi, SIIMA and Filmfare.”
Sreenu Vaitla recalled that Krishna’s predictions on the movie collections came true.
Mahesh Babu was presented in a completely different way in Dookudu. “We initially planned to show Mahesh Babu as MLA. Then came police officer Ajay and filmmaker Bellary Babu roles. Three characters have different variations and every character evokes laughs. Mahesh Babu exceeded our expectations with his tremendous performance.”
The comedy sequences of Brahmanandam have become major memes stuff in social media. “We worked very hard for that track. We penned a separate track for the character Padmashree and the scenes still look very fresh.”
The director expresses his happiness for the kind of response for Dookudu’s special shows being screened by fans on the occasion of the film completing 10 years.
Sreenu Vaitla who will next be directing Vishnu Manchu in D & D has prepared two other scripts.
