Producer Boney Kapoor made the announcement during the IIFA 2025 celebrations, expressing his hope that Khushi would follow in her mother’s footsteps.
However, the decision has sparked backlash online, with many netizens criticizing Khushi’s acting skills and questioning her suitability for the role.
Some users even suggested alternative actresses like Yami Gautam, Kangana Ranaut, or Bipasha Basu for the part.
Khushi, who has previously appeared in The Archies and Loveyappa, is also set to feature in a film after No Entry.
