The collection saga of RRR is still going on. The daily reports are adding numbers to the gross collections but surprisingly the BookMyShow shows no occupancy in almost all the centers. Then from where the theatrical collections are coming up?
A popular Box Office source in India is said to be manipulating the collections in the interest of the producers of certain films.
Recently, the same source said that the single screens in the rural areas of North India are doing better than the multiplexes with regard to RRR. It is known that the multiplex collections cannot be manipulated, so easily, unlike that of the single screens due to the kind of system they follow.
But still, the BookMyShow is showing empty single screens in almost the entire North Indian belt.
Same applies to KGF now. The film is set to release on April 14th and already the reports say that the advance bookings are happening at way faster than that of RRR.
BookMyShow is like the Right To Information Act, to know the actual collections nationwide. Unless the tickets are genuinely sold out or the exhibitors block for a reason, the seats show empty on this booking platform.
The hype of KGF is seen only in selective regions but not as a national phenomenon.
Keeping this away, the KGF makers approached the AP Government to get the permission to hike up the ticket prices like that of RRR. But RRR faced the curse of that boon from Day-4 in many parts of rural Andhra Pradesh where the people didn't turn up to theatres looking at the exorbitant ticket prices.
So, at certain times, the boons also boomerang in a bad way.
Now the doubt of many film buffs is whether the artificial hype surrounding KGF is genuine or just a perception game to pump in heat of interest among the youngsters.
