In less than three weeks of returning from Delhi, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to the national capital again leading to speculations that he might patch up with the Central government.
KCR suddenly called for a meeting of his cabinet colleagues, whoever is available, at his farm house in Errabelli in Siddipet district on Saturday afternoon.
Normally, he doesn’t hold any official meetings at his farmhouse, let alone the cabinet meetings.
The fact that he has suddenly called for a meeting of ministers indicated that he had discussed something very important.
Speculation was that he had told the ministers and the party leaders that it might not be possible for him to enter the national politics.
However, KCR suggested that the party continued to put up a fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party politically and with the Centre on issues concerning the state.
At the same time, it appears he is not willing to enter into unnecessary confrontation with the Modi government.
For the record sake, the CMO issued a statement that KCR called for a meeting of the TRS Legislature Party at Telangana Bhavan at 11.30 am on Monday.
The meeting would be attended by all MLAs, MLCs, party state executive committee members, district presidents, ZP chairpersons, presidents of DCCBs, DCMS and district presidents of Raithu Bandhu Samithies.
The CMO statement said the meeting will chalk out a plan to hold dharnas, agitations and protests demanding the Union Government to buy yasangi paddy in the state.
On the same evening, the chief minister and a delegation of ministers will leave for Delhi on the same day to meet the Union ministers and even the Prime Minister to demand for the buying of paddy.
The chief minister asked the TRS MPs in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to stage protests in line with the agitation in Telangana.
The agitation programmes will continue in demanding the FCI to procure 100 percent of paddy from Telangana.
He is expected to seek an appointment with the Prime Minister and if he gets the appointment, sources said, he would ensure restoration of relations with the Centre.
