Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's blockbuster 'The Kashmir Files' is continuing its winning streak at the box office. It made history on the eighth day of its box-office collection.
The movie has minted a total of Rs 116.45 crore in the domestic market after it collected Rs 19.15 crore on Friday (Day 8).
Movie analyst Taran Adarsh said that the Anupam Kher-starrer's box-office collection of Day 8 is at par with business done by SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2' of Rs 19.75 crore.
The movie has crossed the record previously held by Aamir Khan's iconic hit 'Dangal' of Rs 18.59 crore.
'The Kashmir Files' is now being dubbed in four regional languages - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
The movie is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley in the 1990s. It was released theatrically on March 11, and entered the Rs 100 crore club on Friday.
Besides Kher, it features Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi.
'The Kashmir Files' has also been declared tax-free in states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Karnataka, Tripura and Goa.
